In this 8 minutes video, I present changing views of the Grand River, in Grand Rapids, Michigan as time flows from day to night and the seasons move from winter to summer. The video is a unique visual experience and a reconfiguration of a classic landmark in the regional landscape. By integrating videos and still images shot at different times and locations onto the same canvas, I am looking for new ways to represent the urban landscape, investigating the relationship between time and space, and perception and representation.

Installation

The original project was a two channels (three projectors) video installation. The main screen is a panorama size ratio of 3:1 and the second screen a 16:9. This project can be presented as a single channel video as well.
